Two cocktails have been exclusively created for the show, and will be available for guests to enjoy on the night. Named Varvara and Frizzen, they relate to the AW12’s Russian constructivist and military influences, and have been tastefully blended by the expert Mixologists at The Bloomsbury Hotel. Varvara contains Stolichnaya, Midori, lime and sugar syrup, whilst Frizzen is comprised of Stolichnaya, Angostura, lime, ginger, sugar syrup and ginger beer.  Delicious!

Jasper Garvida’s AW12 takes inspiration from Russian Constructivism. Entitled, Revolutionnaire Situation de la Forme, Jasper again departs from his trademark use of colour in favour of a muted palette brought to life in military shapes and detailing.

The collection captures the essence and beauty of the contemporary woman. Luxury fabrics include printed satin illustrating mechanical machinery mixed with soft suede and fine cashmere to create a utilitarian silhouette, spotlighting Marlene Dietrich, one of the most celebrated women of the World War era.

We jumped at the chance to design for Leona Lewis and think she would be the perfect role model to wear Jasper Garvida’s designs. With her fun and feminine sense of style and her amazing figure, we couldn’t think of anything better to style her in than a long, elegant dress. Inspiration came from the extraordinary bright colours of tropical birds from South America and soft layered fabrics, with a touch of Jasper’s signature style, fine detailed embellishment. The most important feature is that all of the fabrics are environmentally friendly and nature aware, showing that these can look just as beautiful.

Here is the final design we have submitted for Leona Lewis.

In the image below our Corsaire Jacket has been featured and styled by Zadrian, with its eastern influences it works perfectly with the theme of the exhibition to authenticate the look.

The exhibition has also collaborated with the University of the Arts of London at the museum and will be held for one night. The event will have a fashion show, interactive installations and even a silent disco so this exciting night is not to be missed. Details of the event are shown below.

On Tuesday 1^st November and Wednesday 2^nd of November Jasper Garvida’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection will be showing at a Press Day with Forward PR. This stunning collection named, `Autour D’un Point’ was inspired by Diana Vreeland for her sense of style and vigour for life. The collection plays with contrasting elements such as dark and light, heavy and soft to create a strong silhouette that complements the female form.

Metallic hues are placed alongside a minimal colour palette, accentuated with gold and silver embellishment for a hard edge. Animal prints combined with geometric shapes give and ‘electro-tribal’ feel while remaining feminine and sophisticated.

This collection features many statement dresses and you will be sure to recognise Jasper’s significant style. The glam, red carpet looks and delicate detailing are every girls dream for a fabulous dress.

Luxury women’s wear designer, Jasper Garvida is proud to present his Spring/Summer 2012 collection ‘Autour d’un Point’ held at the lavish Bloomsbury Hotel, on Monday 19^th September at 5pm.

The hugely anticipated collection will play with all things contrasting - light and shade, day and night, hard and soft, and black and white.

Jasper Garvida has cited that women are his main source of inspiration, and with this collection he has made no exceptions.  His muse for this season is the inspiring Diana Vreeland, chosen for her individual sense of style, vigour for life, and love for the daring and the exotic.  Her ability to blend hard and soft elements can be seen throughout the collection.

Spring/Summer features a strong silhouette that complements the female form.  Soft fabrics and circular shapes are used to add a flow of movement around the body, mirroring the rhythm found in Frantisek Kupka’s painting ‘Autour d’un Point’ where the collection took its name.  This has been accentuated by the use of strong metallic hardware and oversized pockets.
