Jasper remembers often feeling excluded and ignored during family conversations. To escape feelings of loneliness he relied on his imagination to create a make-believe world in which he was surrounded by friends he could talk to. It allowed him to better connect with himself and to make sense of the world around him.

'Tik & Tok' was selected to be one of around 1,000 artworks forming part of the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition in 2023.
