In this collection, Jasper Garvida embarked on a journey of self-discovery by delving into his childhood and reflecting on the events that continue to resonate with him. Growing up in the Philippines as the youngest of seven children, with a seven-year gap between him and his closest sibling, he often felt isolated. In those moments of solitude, his imagination became his companion. By the age of four, he began creating his own toys, driven by a fascination with the different characteristics and functions of various materials. This early interest marked the beginning of his lifelong affinity for materiality, making it an integral part of the development of his practice.
